When setting up a new workshop, the first big purchase for most people is a Tablesaw. There are 3 different categories of saws, beginning with the benchtop, contractor and the full size cabinet saw. A tablesaw is usually only as good as the fence system it employs as well as an accurate miter gauge. In this "hands on" class there will be exercises using a few of the most common bits such as a round over, edge forming, straight cutting and even a dado. The router table will be used and there will be discussion of the differences between hand-held and table operations. Care and maintenance of routers will be covered.
